“Business of Month” December 2013: MASON COUNTY ACTION GROUP, INC.

Mason County Action Group, Inc., is a non-profit organization whose staff and volunteers are dedicated to promoting independence, dignity and well-being for the clients they serve. Approximately 32,000 meals are served each year at the senior centers located in Point Pleasant, Mason, and Hartford, including meals that are delivered to homebound seniors throughout Mason County. The three senior centers also provide a place for seniors to gather and socialize. Bingo, country music, church service, guest speakers, health screenings, and information for needed services are a big part of daily activities. Approximately 140 residents of Mason County receive In-Home Care that provides them with assistance in their homes. These programs are operated with both state and federal funding including Medicaid Waiver and Personal Care. The staff and caregivers all strive to enhance the quality of life of those they serve.
